BA has been building custom roadside spray units for over 35 years, working directly with contractors to design truck and trailer-mounted sprayers around their vehicle, application and daily spraying requirements — from 4WD light-to-medium truck chassis through to dual control configurations for uneven terrain and narrow rural berms.
No two roadside spraying operations are the same. Vehicle configuration, application rates, terrain, daily volume and the type of spraying being carried out can all influence the right setup.

PROVEN IN ROADSIDE SPRAYING
BA has supplied custom roadside spraying equipment to contractors including Hayes Spraying Roadside Services and T8, with each unit designed around a different vehicle, application and operating requirement.
- T8 needed a unit that could spray both verges and community areas like parks and car parks, with a boom built to spray left and right. Built in December 2024, BA designed a dual-side boom running off a 24V hydraulic power pack, with GPS-based auto-section control and full in-cab digital control for proof-of-work reporting. It was BA’s first roadside build of its kind and has been in daily service since.
- Hayes Spraying Roadside Services needed a unit built around the realities of verge spraying — left-hand side application, boom height that adjusts to clear roadside marker posts, and the boom positioned slightly forward of the truck for better visibility while driving. Individual boom-section control lets the operator target application precisely, supporting the tighter spraying specifications now set by councils and road-controlling authorities.
