In October 2025, BA Pumps & Sprayers unveiled their latest innovation, the VS3000 three-row vine sprayer, at a launch event in Hawkes Bay that drew growers and contractors from across the region. Guests watched the machine in action and saw firsthand why it’s being hailed as a game-changer for vineyard efficiency and precision. Stevenson & Taylor were proud to be part of the rollout, supporting the introduction of a machine that’s redefining what’s possible for local viticulture.
“It’s exciting to see this level of innovation coming into the market,” said Stevenson & Taylor General Manager, Robby Smith. “The VS3000 really stands out in terms of design, performance, and ease of use. Designed and built right here in New Zealand, it’s great to be able to bring this kind of technology to our customers in Hawke’s Bay.”
Built for performance and practicality, the VS3000 combines precision engineering with simplicity. Its tangential fans deliver proven superior coverage and can be set up in minutes. The redesigned fan system reduces maintenance and operating costs, a win for both efficiency and reliability. Operators can also adjust between 2.4 to 3-metre rows from the cab, thanks to a hydraulic row adjust mechanism and colour-coded indicators that make calibration effortless.
The design is as tough as it is smart. Full 90-degree breakaways protect the fans from misadventure, while a heavy-duty tandem oscillating axle and wide tyres help reduce soil compaction. The mast and chassis, verified through independent FEA stress testing, ensure durability under pressure. Add in a three-point hitch for tight turning and a hydraulically driven diaphragm pump that simplifies servicing, and you’ve got a machine built to work as hard as the people who run it.
BA General Manager, Mark Harris said the launch marked a milestone for the company: “The VS3000 builds on proven designs to deliver greater reliability, easier servicing, and stronger performance, purpose-built for NZ and Australian vineyards.”
