Agricultural and horticultural sprayers aren’t the only sprayers BA is known for. They have been a trusted ally for Kiwi Rail and the New Zealand Fire Service for many years having worked together to develop its range of FireFighter Sprayers.
The first model, BAD003-FFU, was designed for Kiwi Rail who went to BA authorised dealer, Spray Pump Services, for a sprayer that could fit their rail service trucks which travel on rail and road. The FireFighter Sprayer is required when teams are welding and cutting on the tracks to put out any fires which may catch if a spark hits the surrounding dry grass in summer.
Units feature a Davies or Honda FireFighter pump, a BA custom built deckmount frame, 400 litre tank, BA heavy duty hose reel with a 30 metre fire hose, and large capacity spray gun.
The next FireFighter model is the D400FFU-530, which came about after we won a tender with the New Zealand Fire Service. The Fire Service needed a sprayer for their first response teams to put out fires in hard to get to places and which could be mounted on to their 4×4 double cab Utes.
Units include a BA pump and motor unit at 50LPM, 580PSI, BA hose reel with a 100 metre spray hose, TeeJet long barrel gun, 400 litre low profile tank, tank filling attachments and Fire Service supplied attachments for applying fire suppressant.
